PUBLIC NOTICE
CALLING FOR INSPECTION OF SUPPLEMENTARY VALUATION ROLL (2) AND LODGING OF OBJECTIONS
Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 49(1)(a)(i) read together with section 78(2) of the Local Government: Municipal Property Rates Act, 2004 (Act No.6 of 2004) as amended, hereinafter referred to as the “Act”, that the supplementary valuation roll for part of the financial year 2020 to 2021 (1 July 2020 to 10 March 2021) is open for public inspection at Nkandla Local Municipality (Cashiers Office, Reception Area and Library), from the 18th March 2021 to 30th April 2021. In addition the Supplementary Valuation Roll One is available at www.nkandla.org.za.
Inspections can be done during office hours as follows: Monday to Thursday between 07H30 – 16H30 and on Friday between 07H30 to 13H30.
An invitation is hereby made in terms of section 49(1)(a)(ii) read together with section 78(2) of the Act that any owner of property or other person who so desires should lodge an objection with the Municipal Manager in respect of any matter reflected in, or omitted from, the supplementary valuation roll within the abovementioned period.
Attention is specifically drawn to the fact that in terms of section 50(2) of the Act an objection must be in relation to a specific individual property and not against the supplementary valuation roll as such. The form for the lodging of an objection is obtainable at the address below or website www.nkandla.org.za .The completed forms must be returned to the following address :

MFMA SECTION 116 (3) NOTICE: IMPLEMENTATION, ON TURN-KEY BASIS, OF MANDATHANE AND WILLEM GRAVEL ROADS AS FULLY LABOUR-INTENSIVE PROJECTS USING THE SERVICE PROVIDER, IN THE PANEL OF MIG CONSULTANTS, APPOINTED THROUGH NORMAL SCM (BIDDING) PROCESSES
The council, in its meeting held on 29 May 2019, resolved (resolution number: NMC47) to issue a public notice, in terms of MFMA 116 (3)(a)(b)(ii)(ii), of the intention to implement, on turn-key basis, the Mandathane and Willem gravel roads as fully labour-intensive projects using the service provider, in the panel of MIG consultants, appointed through normal SCM (bidding) processes
The said section provides that:
(3) A contract or agreement procured through the supply chain management policy of the municipality or municipal entity may be amended by the parties, but only after---
(a) the reasons for the proposed amendment have been tabled in the council of the municipality or, in the case of a municipal entity, in the council of its parent municipality; and
(b) the local community-
(i) has been given reasonable notice of the intention to amend the contract or
(ii) has been invited to submit representations to the municipality or the municipality or municipal entity.
The notice is, therefore, issued to: (a) notify the public of the intention to amend the terms of reference for the panel of MIG consultants, (b) afford the interested members of the public the opportunity to make presentation in terms of the said MFMA section.
The prime objective of this exercise is to reverse the scourge of lack of jobs, by creating more job opportunities for the people Nkandla
Written presentations must be submitted to the Municipal Manager of Nkandla Municipality, in writing, by not later than 12:00 (noon) on 07 June 2019 and must be deposited in the tender box situated at the main office’s reception, at Nkandla Municipality, Private Bag x 161, Lot 292 Maree Road, Nkandla 3855.

Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 49(1)(a)(i) read together with section 78(2) of the LOcal Government: Municipal property Rates Act, 2004 (Act No.6 of 2004) hereinafter referred to as the "Act", that the General Valuation Roll for the financial years 2019/20 to 2023/24 is open for public inspection at Nkandla Local Municipality from 1st March 2019 to 5th April 2019.

VERIFICATION OF VACANT LAND OWNERSHIP WITHIN NKANDLA TOWN.
Notice is hereby give of the intention of the Nkandla Municipality to verify all Vacant Land Ownership withing Nkandla town.
All Vacant Land Owners in Nkandla Town are hereby requested to submit proof of Ownership of Land /Sites in Nkandla Town.
